When we are learning English, it is common to face off some difficulties about reading, understanding and interpreting English texts.
So, problem solving is the activity I recommend to my students in order to improve their English skills.
Problem solving requires the students to deal with Math problems which lead them to apply their English grammar and vocabulary background as well as some soft skills such as concentration, critical thinking, logical reasoning, and so on.
Performing that problem solving activity will help students to develop not only their English skills, but also all the soft skills they are demanded to use in it.
In this podcast, you’re invited and challenged to practice problem solving by reading, analysing, interpreting and resolving 5 Math problems totally written in English.
Here go some steps to guide you to face that challenge:
Listen to the audio until you understand the problems. You may do it while following the text.
Solve the problems, and write down their answers.
To improve your speaking skills, you may read and record the problems and their respective answers.
Listen to your recording, evaluate your performance, and repeat the step 3 to make it better if necessary.
