Ouvir "Podcast Especial 04-2016 – Diego Escosteguy – Understanding Brazil’s political crisis"
Sinopse do Episódio
In this special podcast, our guest is Diego Escosteguy, a Brazilian journalist based in São Paulo and Época’s magazine editor-in-chief. Escosteguy talks about Brazil’s political crisis and how the media coverage in the United States and in Europe are actually amplifying a narrative spin of the impeachment process. He explains the importance of the Fiscal Responsibility Law, established in 2000, to understand the fiscal crimes and the charges against President Dilma Rousseff. “This is not a manufactured crisis, this is not a manufactured impeachment, it’s a very long, a very hard, and a very tumultuous consequence of two years of investigations”, says the journalist.
