As "Night Witches" eram um grupo de aviadoras soviéticas que voavam como bombardeiras durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Elas eram parte da 588ª Esquadrilha de Ataque Noturno, e eram conhecidas pelo seu uso de aviões leves e sem equipamento de rádio, o que as tornava difíceis de detectar pelos alemães. As "Night Witches" realizaram cerca de 30.000 missões ao longo da guerra, e eram respeitadas tanto pelos inimigos quanto pelos aliados. Elas foram decoradas por seu valentia e coragem, e são lembradas como um símbolo da heroína feminina na Segunda Guerra Mundial.
The Night Witches were a group of Soviet female aviators who flew as bombers during World War II. They were part of the 588th Night Bomber Regiment, and were known for their use of light aircraft and lack of radio equipment, making them difficult for the Germans to detect. The Night Witches carried out approximately 30,000 missions throughout the war, and were respected by both enemies and allies.
