Carlo Ginzburg, renowned historian and author of major works such as “The cheese and the worms” is read by countless history students around the world today. The Italian professor, who has has taught at the University of Bologna, as well as Harvard and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), talked to Eduardo Seabra and Rodrigo Elias for episode # 10 of Passadorama: “Meu herege favorito” ("My favorite heretic"). Ginzburg talks about Menocchio and micro-history, as well as chance, shame and ways in which to combat fake news and the worldwide rise of the political far-right.
