Highly influenced by sampling artists and sequenced rhythms, the Brazilian DJ and producer Sisto brings a new context to old school sounds, mixing groovy drums and hypnotic synthesizers. His doctrine is the avant-garde electronic music, which brought artists who changed the course of history, making it reverberate for the next generations. Sisto applies unusual concepts in his sound, creating a bridge between the yesterday, today and tomorrow, establishing himself as a creator that spreads his work: penetrating, sensitive and precise.
With unobvious musical research that contemplates nuances of House and Techno, added to the years of DJing, Sisto has been taking his sound to several parts of the world, in addition to conquer the catalog of multiple labels that makes his musicality echo around the globe.
Currently living in São Paulo, Sisto has been active for 16 years and has built a solid catalog, both in digital and vinyl formats. His productions have received consistent support over the years from DJs such as Dan Ghenacia, Marco Carola, Demuir, Trajano, Kair, Ney Faustini, among many others, as well as from radio stations like BBC Radio 1 London, Circoloco Radio, and more.
In 2023, he co-founded his main music label, ‘sci phunk’, which already features releases from his project “Criminal System” in collaboration with Criminal Issues, as well as events held both in Brazil and Europe. In addition, Sisto runs his own label called ‘cutting corners’, providing a platform for emerging artists — especially Brazilian talents — to break into the electronic music scene.
With a deep connection with time, Sisto extracts only the essentials, translating into his sound a necessary and liberating connection with the public.
