The original version of "Samba of love" by Sam Q's Night Patrol could first be heard on Grooveland Music's "Grooves Lounge Vol. 1" compilation, now this Sam Qureshi produced and masterly orchestrated jazz/latin/bossa-nova jewel featuring the beautiful alluring vocals of Taylor Jackson gets a full single release complete with breathtaking four-to-the-floor remixes. Sam Qureshi, an Alto – Saxophonist and Composer born in Karachi, Pakistan, raised in Birmingham and based in Manchester since 1997. Sam has been a dedicated jazz musician for 30 years and has played at top venues Ronnie Scots, the Blue Note Club and featured gig for Radio 1 DJ Giles Peterson. He has also worked with hometown band UB40 and recorded ‘How to Steal the World’ album by personal commission of Ali Campbell in the original DEP Studios. Following the remixes the first up Jihad Muhammad adds his magical touch, with his utterly thrilling interpretation keeping the spirit of the original alive yet oozing with the beloved mesmerizing Bang the Drum sound. Next, Flash'N'Fox drop a marvelous soul/funk/jazz infused rendition guaranteed to send shivers down your spine, and finally Matt Bell (half of SoulBasics) serves a fervid rework sure to rock the big rooms.
