Beyond the Western gaze that often paints them only as victims, they’re building movements that center choice, dignity, and everyday resistance. From the Women, Life, Freedom uprising to Iran’s #MeToo movement, activists are challenging both state control and global misrepresentation, demanding genuine solidarity that amplifies their voices, not speaks for them.Ester Pinheiro speaks with: Shaghayegh Norouzi, who launched the page on social media for the Me Too Movement in Iran. She is a feminist activist and communications manager at the NGO United for Iran.
